Posted by admin in Cars on 07 30th, 2011
Petrol radio controlled cars are amongst the highly adopted toy cars from the spectrum of nitro cars. Nitro cars are cars that do not function on electric power but power derived from nitro fuels. These types of fuels are specialized fuels which are not obtainable at general stores or toy depots. In order to enjoy your Petrol radio controlled cars you may require these fuels which can be availed from specialized shops or even through online sources. As the popularity of nitro radio controlled cars is growing the number of individuals indulging in radio car activities is also consistently increasing.
It is wise to set your hands on conventional electric based radio controlled cars before you try to start your experience with nitro cars, in case you are a novice. You need to gain experience of radio controlled cars to the point when you start feeling comfortable with RC cars and are able to work on basic troubleshooting of your toy car. An advanced electric based radio control car can provide a strong understanding on how nitro fuel radio controlled cars work. You may gain important skills such as handling your car at high speed and tricks, timely acceleration and degree of turn etc.
It should be understood that petrol radio controlled cars are efficient in comparison with electric based cars. It can be said that nitro cars are a level higher than electric cars in the world of radio controlled cars. Through your experience with electric RC cars you should also be able to determine whether you actually hold interesting in knowing your car in and out. This is important because with nitro cars you will have to be attentive and dedicated towards its maintenance. If you are just interested in racing your car and not performing required maintenance, then you should not look forward to petrol radio control cars but electric RC cars.

You may also have to invest time in learning to handle and maintain your car appropriately. To help you gain understanding on how petrol RC cars work, the best option would be to go for RC car kit. These car kits include caliber models that allow you to learn the functioning of the car while you assemble your car. It is wise and significant to not only race a nitro car but also to know its tools and parts.
It is believed that running-in procedure is a very important factor with petrol radio controlled cars. This is not the case in electric RC cars as you can charge the car and start racing. However, in scenario of petrol RC cars you need to be proficient in running-in the engine. An appropriate run-in will help you prevent any malfunctions such as system failure. This will also lubricate the internal parts and engine to keep it flawlessly working. You need to be careful as any discrepancy can lead to damages to your petrol radio controlled cars.

Posted by admin in Motorcycles on 07 30th, 2011
The motorcycles military history dates back as early as 1913. In fact General John J. Pershing used a Harley Davidson motorcycle to pursue the famous Mexican bandit, Pancho Villa, in 1916. By 1917 roughly two thirds of Harley Davidson’s production went to the military. World War 1 saw approximately 20,000 Harley’s pressed into military service with that number rising to 90,000 in World War 2. These motorcycles played many parts in wartime, from mostly being used for communications, transportation, and limited combat to tactical assault missions in World War 2. This along with the regular wartime motor pool produced thousands of men trained as mechanics.
At the end of World War 2 a large number of these returning GIs went into business using their newly learned mechanical skills. Most went into the automotive repair business, however, a large group focused on the motorcycle side of the business. A lot of these returning soldiers turned to hot rods and motorcycles seeking the thrill they had experienced in wartime. The huge surplus of military motorcycles provided a readily available, and cheap, marketplace for these thrills seekers. From the very beginning these new bikers started modifying the big, heavy, utility oriented and styled military motorcycle, removing parts and accessories not absolutely necessary for starting, riding, and stopping the motorcycle.
Saddlebags, windshields, big bulky headlights, and mirrors were removed. The mirrors and lights were replaced with newer and sleeker styles. The old flat floorboards were replaced with forward foot pegs. Front fenders were removed and the rear fenders were either removed or cut down, leaving just enough to accommodate a passenger over the rear tire. The large, original front tires and gas tanks were removed and replaced with much smaller ones. Exhaust systems were replaced with straight pipes. All of this was done mostly to make the bike lighter for street and dirt racing. The big leather and spring suspended saddle type seat was replaced with a smaller padded seat to allow the rider to ride lower on the bike. The “sissy” bar or custom backrest became standard equipment. The custom, and chopper type motorcycles, as well as, the biker lifestyle were born!
The end result of all of this modification of the military motorcycle was an entire industry catering to this phenomenon. Chop shops and custom bike builders sprang up all over the country. A person could bring in a stock Harley Davidson motorcycle to one of these shops and, depending on how much money they wanted to spend getting the desired look and style, ride out with a completely customized or totally chopped bike. All removable parts are removed, including the engine and transmission. The original frame is then cut, or chopped up, and welded back together resulting in a lower and longer frame. This method of customizing led to the bikes being called choppers. Chopper builders have in large part favored fat rear tires, a rigid looking frame, and an original or replica air cooled v-twin engine. Performance and custom, usually chromed parts, are then added. The chopper inevitably has a long, or raked, extended front fork. Springer and Girder front-ends were the forks of choice to accomplish this raked look. These front ends are still widely used. Although these bikes are somewhat less responsive to handling and have a heavier feel at slow speeds and on curves they actually handle better than their stock front-end counter parts at higher, or cruising speeds.
Choppers have maintained a loyal following and legends in the building of these motorcycles have evolved. One shining example is Jesse G. James’ West Coast Choppers. Mr. James has been successful in producing, and branding, his own style of unique and very expensive chopper style motorcycles. Many chopper and biker related businesses have also came into being. These include everything from the merchandising of motorcycle riding apparel and custom parts and accessories to bars and clubs catering to the chopper and other biker enthusiasts

Who Wants To Avoid An Auto Accident? We All Do!
Posted by admin in Motorcycles on 07 24th, 2011
If you’ve ever been involved in a road accident you will know how truly awful the whole experience can be. Pain, injury, and sometimes death of driver or passengers can be distressing on all levels whether that’s physical, mental, or both depending the severity of the accident. The problem with auto accidents is exactly that. They’re accidents! They didn’t have to happen. Having said that, they do happen, and they will continue to happen despite ourselves, but we are responsible for minimizing that risk to the best of our abilities.
Many of us have had accidents simply because we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Someone or some incident occurred precisely as the spot we happened to be in at a particular moment in time, and often through no fault of our own. It’s crucial to have auto insurance cover whether we were the cause of the calamity or not.
Don’t you just hate statistics sometimes, especially when they are referring to doom and gloom? But statistically, the majority of us will either cause or be involved in an auto accident at some point during our lifetime. It is said that on average, people are caught up in an auto accident every 7 years. That doesn’t mean you will of course, it’s just a general statistic as some folks have more, some have less, and there are those lucky ones that never have any.
Older folks pick up many bad driving habits over the years, but even so, they are more sensible and traffic savvy than the young showoffs fresh out of driving school. Most accidents are caused by speeding, driving under the influence, or simply through lack of experience. Therefore, the key to safe driving has to be knowledge safety, and experience. Sure, most folks like the adrenaline rush that comes with a bit of speed, but there are times and places for such motoring, and built up areas with lots of road congestion is not one of them.
There is also something about being behind a wheel that turns normal everyday folks into motoring monsters. There has been a lot of research into this, and one of the conclusions was this: We can see the vehicle, but quite often we can’t see the driver or maybe just a silhouette at best! It’s this faceless interaction on the roads that takes the human element out of driving, and this is why there is so much horn honking, fist waving, and light flashing agro on the roads.
If you think about it, when you’re walking along the sidewalk and another pedestrian cuts in front of you, there is no shouting and swearing, or threats of violence. No, one of the walkers will apologize and the other will most likely accept this request for forgiveness, as they then continue on their merry way. Why, because they made eye contact and saw the human not the machine, and most of us are pretty polite to our fellows when in direct contact.
Motorcycles, or donor bikes as they are called in the UK, are quite a hazard to many motorists because they are not always easy to see. However, most modern motorcycles these days have the headlight on during daylight hours, making them easier to spot. In fact, most new models have this light come on at startup and it’s not possible to turn it off. Remember this simple rule when driving your vehicle, especially when pulling away or turning: Think Once! Think Twice! Think Bike!
Motorcyclists are 11 times more likely to die in a road accident then those in automobiles. I had a terrible bike accident in 1979 which put me in hospital for 5 months and off work for almost 2 years. I was young, I was foolish, I was showing off, and I was riding far too fast when the car dragged me under its front fender for 90 meters. I’m one of the lucky one as I’m here to tell the tale, but many are not so fortunate. Touch wood, I’ve never had an accident since and a lot of that is down to careful driving. Have a safe journey!

Types of Carports
Posted by admin in Motorcycles on 07 18th, 2011
People today care quite a bit about the condition of their vehicles; they pay a good deal of money to get them and a good deal of money to keep them in good working order. Not every home comes with a two garage to protect their automobiles and not every middle class family can afford to have a big garage built for the purpose.
For those people that love and want to protect their cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles but don’t have a garage to do so, a carport can be a very good alternative. There are a wide variety of carports available to suit just about any purpose a person could have; they vary in the materials that they are constructed from, the style of framing and the size – there is one out there for every situation and here is a good cross section of what’s available to make the correct decision when choosing which type of carport is right for your situation.
Different Materials
This is probably the most important deciding factor in your choice of carports. It will determine both the price and the structural integrity of the building.
Polyester and polyethylene construction is probably the most economically priced type of carport available, though the prices of all raw materials have gone up in recent years; polyethylene is still a more cost effect alternative to aluminum or steel framing. You won’t have quite as sturdy a carport as you would if you’d gone with steel framing, but these carports protect well against the wind, rain, sunlight and light debris. Though they don’t have the most rugged construction, they will provide more than enough protection for your automobile in light and regular duty applications and the light weight materials make them much easier to move than their steel counterparts.
Aluminum carports are a bit sturdier than the polyethylene variety and still come in with a lower price tag than a steel carport. The lightweight aluminum carport is fairly easy to assemble and, though not quite as portable as the aforementioned, will still be able to be moved without a whole lot of trouble. An aluminum carport is perfect for situations that need something with some reliable durability, but where cost is still a factor.
Steel carports are among the sturdiest available, but you will pay for the added integrity due to the cost of the raw materials. They offer the same basic principals of protections as both of the aforementioned models, but come with the piece of mind of being a much more permanent structure.
Sizes and Styles
Carports of all materials come in a wide variety of standard and custom sizes and can easily be built to suit any purpose. The most popular sizes are made to house one automobile or are ‘triple wide’ for those that want to protect more than one vehicle under the same carport. Once you determine how much space on your property you have available and how many vehicles you are looking to protect you can determine what size of carport will best suit your needs.
The styles of carport can be nearly as varied as the sizes; there are standard frames with open sides or fully enclosed, A-frames with open sides or fully enclosed, A-frame ‘utility’ with an open frame for vehicle protection and an attached enclosed structure for storage. Many manufacturers also offer custom styles where you can decide how you need your carport to be and they will manufacture it to order.
A carport is the most economic and readily available alternative for a homeowner with no garage, who is on a budget. Whatever function you should require of it, whether it’s just to provide basic protection of your automobile; or whether you need a fully enclosed, semi-portable garage for secure storage there is a carport out there for you.

Nitro RC Cars The Hot RC Car
Posted by admin in Cars on 07 12th, 2011The Nitro RC car or gas powered RC car is an rc car that runs on a special fuel — a mix of oil, nitro-methane and methyl alcohol.
It\’s kind of like a smaller version of a top fuel dragster.
The ESP of a Nitro Remote Control car is that it is far more powerful and runs longer compared to Electric RC cars. This is definitely not your father\’s rc car. They are a little more expensive than their electric counterparts – both to own and maintain.
While electric RC cars are ideal for beginners, Nitro RC cars are intended more for the serious hobbyists and racers.
Basically, a Nitro RC car has an internal combustion engine of 2-stroke or 4-stroke type. Fuel is supplied from a small tank that contains the special fuel. Regular gasoline will not work in these engines.
you start the car either with a pull start cord or with a starter box.
Just like real cars, these engines have a carburetor, air filter and other such components of the internal combustion engine. They also have the universal components like, electronic radio control, servo speed control, transmission / gear system, drive train, differentials, steering system, shock absorbers, and batteries for head lights.
Why is an RC car so special and expensive?
First, the complex engine and its components are costly, compared to the simple motor in the electric RC car. In addition, a battery for the electric car is a simple one time investment compared to the ongoing fuel costs of Nitro RC\’s.
In addition, Nitro RC cars gather more dirt and grease. More running components in any system mean there will be more wear and tear.
Both these add to the maintenance cost.
However, for the sheer power and racing range, the Nitro RC cars are the leaders in RC toys.
You may choose the cars in 1/8, 1/10, 1/12, 1/20 scales as well as mini nitro RC cars. The 1/8 and 1/10 scale Nitro Remote Control cars are the most popular ones with racers and serious hobbyists.
They can be bought in most hobby stores or on the Internet for between $200 to $400.
This is definitely not a beginner\’s price!
On the other hand, it\’s nowhere near as expensive as a full-sized Porsche, yet it helps fulfill your racing dreams. At 60 to 100 kmph speeds, they are very definitely exciting!Michael Murray
The Tao Of Dating: How To Attract Gorgeous Women In 3 Easy Steps
Posted by admin in Motorcycles on 07 12th, 2011
One of my favorite “guy” movies is “The Tao of Steve,” which shows how Dex, a fat guy with no aspirations, easily gets hot, gorgeous women. How? Simply by following the 3 rules of the Tao. They are:
Eliminate your desires.
Do something excellent in her presence, thereby proving your sexual worthiness.
Retreat, for as Heidegger said, “We pursue that which retreats from us.”
Or, to put it more simply:
Be desireless
Be excellent
Be gone
Dex’s talent was that he knew how to cook a really mean lobster dish; thus, he fulfilled the second rule. He knew one thing, and he did it well. In the process, he followed the first and third rules of the Tao by not being overly eager to impress the girl and get her phone number, and just after he impressed the girl with his talent, he would be gone. After cooking for her, he would say, “Well, I gotta get ready for bed.”
She would beg him not to go, thus DE-powering herself and EM-powering Dex. And he would say, “Well, I guess I could stay a little longer.” And you can guess where it went from there…
So, like Dex, you should aim to be excellent at something, all while “holding the cards” to a woman’s heart. Does that mean you have to know how to cook gourmet meals or buld your own motorcycles from scratch (a la American Choppers)? Hell no! It simply means you have to find within yourself that one talent, that one skill, that separates yourself from the rest of the male pack-and use it to your every advantage.
I’ll give you an example of how to do this. His name’s Jared, and he’s not the most talented person in the world. Like Dex, he’s not exactly a man on a mission; he plays lots of video games and watches lots of TV. Yet somehow he’s never lacking for female companionship.
Why? Because when he goes out and meets girls, he does something that amazes them: he’s taught himself (proving that great talent does not have to come naturally) some really impressive card tricks. That’s it. Jared’s not an athlete, he’s not a gourmet cook, he’s not a guitar player. He just taught himself how to do some cool magic tricks, and does them so well that girls are naturally attracted to him. It works!
But does Jared go out of his way to show off his skill? NO. Actually, what Jared does is act really easy, really casual, ask the girl lots of questions about herself (first rule of the Tao: be desireless), then wait til there’s a pause in the conversation to ask, “Hey, you wanna see something cool?” The girl will say yes, and he’ll tease her: “Oh, too bad. You’ll have to wait til later.”
This is what I call “curiosity building,” and it’s a proven girl getter. Stimulate her curiosity, hold her at bay, and she’ll not only become more curious in your talent, but more interested in you.
So Jared will string the girl along for a while, then say, “Fine! Fine! I’ll show you the stupid trick,” with a grin. This changes the game so that the girl has become the chaser, Jared the chased, and he is able to “placate” her with his trick.
What Jared does, in essence, is follow the first rule of the Tao to the T: he acts truly desireless. He turns the tables on girls so that THEY seem like the ones filled with desire, not him. In making them more desirous than him, he becomes more empowered and, of course, more attractive. It’s truly brilliant stuff.
On top of that, once Jared has impressed the girl, he makes sure to follow the third rule: RETREAT. He strings along the girl for so long that she can’t help but be attracted to him. And just when she’s realized that she’s met a really great, talented guy, he says, “I have to go,” or, “Hey, my buddies are waiting for me.”
By doing this, he ensures that the girl needs him, more than he needs her. In the process, she’ll give him her phone number and ask him for a date, in a desperate attempt to see him again. He expertly becomes the pursued, not the pursuer-now that’s a magic trick!
This is all part of the art of impressing women, an art that takes time to master but once you’ve done it once, the next few times are easy. Naturally, it does require that you actually show the girl your talent in action, of course; saying you’re a great cook and then not being able to describe what you do accurately, or not be able to cook for her at all, will only make you look foolish and lose the girl quicker than you say, “Gone.”
But now, as a single guy or a guy looking for a new relationship, you have the chance to work on the skills you have, however small they may be, and do something truly magical to impress women. Look at your time of single status not as a loss, but as an opportunity, to become a truly one-of-a-kind guy.
And once you’ve figured out what your talent or talents is, make the most of them. Learn how to lead girls along with your talent;like Jared, create opportunities out of them. If you know how to cook, ask the girl what her favorite plate is. Say she answers, “Penne a la vodka.” You should respond, “Really? Wow, that’s cool, because I make a great dish of Penne a la vodka.” She’ll naturally want to see how you make it, so you can answer, “Yeah, it’s too bad I have to be leaving, you won’t get to try it just yet.”
Don’t ask her to come over to your house to try your cooking-instead, be desireless and retreat. Make HER ask to come to your house or apartment to try out your cooking. That way you’re making HER the desired one, and YOU the empowered one. And when you “hold the cards,” you can get anything you want. ANYTHING.
It’s all about learning your talents-and knowing how to use your talents. No less an authority than Benjamin Franklin said, “Hide not your talents. They for use were made. What’s a sundial in the shade?”
